Berlin street objects

Sometimes delicious, sometimes scary... in our new series on Pinterest we discover advertising objects found on the streets of Berlin.

Wok to Walk (Asian, Mitte)

We know and love Wok to Walk from our Amsterdam times! And now finally this Asian self-service restaurant chain made its way to the German capital.

The concept is easy and genius: First select the base of your dish (certain kind of noodles and rice), then add the main ingredients (beef, chicken, mushrooms, etc.) and toppings (sesame, nuts, etc.) you wish. At the end, choose your sauce out of different spicy grades. Ready is your individual and freshly made Asian dish.

How much?
The base with sauce costs around 4,90 EUR, every additional ingredient and topping is extra. Average is around 7 EUR.

Babel (Lebanese, Prenzlauer Berg)

TOP TIP!

Small and busy Lebanese self-service restaurant at Kastanienalle and our favorite for falafel, hummus, halloumi and shawarma in Berlin. The taste here is just awesome!

Order the "Wunschteller" and you can select 3 different kind of the offered treasures :-) You will get a huge plate with all kind of salads and sauces in addition.

While waiting you can taste a delicious tea for free. Do not miss this place while being in Berlin!

How much?
Best value for money! Falafel sandwich around 3 EUR, bigger dish (Wunschteller) around 7 EUR.

Taste the Orient!

Best clubs in Berlin

Berlin is the Mekka of electronic music. Lots of clubbers from around the world fly to Berlin to party. These are the top clubs:

1. Berghain / Panoramabar
A huge club like no other in a former power station. Voted best club of the world in 2009. Most likely the hardest door on earth at the moment, and not predictable at all! Offers a techno floor (Berghain), a house floor (Panoramabar, best in Germany), darkrooms (for special entertainment) and chill out areas.

2. Kater Holzig
New club from the Bar 25 people at the river. It looks like a wooden pirate ship has crashed into a typically Berlin urban empty building. Unique atmosphere guaranteed!

3. Watergate
Beautiful club with 2 floors directly at the water with an amazing view to the Oberbaumbrücke and the Universal building. Great chillout terrace in the water and a legendary LED wall on the ceiling of the main floor.

Saphire (Cocktailbar, Prenzlauer Berg)

If you are into great cocktails in a nice atmosphere, with style, but not too posh, then Saphire is your choice!

The cocktails are the best, we have ever tasted. The selection is enormous, you will find all the known cocktails here plus own creations. You can ask the friendly waiter any time for help, just say the direction you want to have, and you will get the best results. Although the cocktails are made with a big effort, you will get the cocktails fast. The stylish interior, free water and little snacks make the whole experience perfect.

There are 2 Saphire bars in Berlin, quite close to each other. The Saphire bar offers a bit more space, while the Martini Lounge is smaller. Both offer the same quality.

How much? Cocktails around 7-10 EUR
